I’m running for re-election to the Maine State Legislature. It’s an honor to represent House District 53. Arrowsic, Dresden, Georgetown, Phippsburg, Richmond (part), and Woolwich, my home town, are communities that take care of each other. I’ve always seen this, but it’s been reinforced during this unsettling time of the pandemic. I’m running for re-election because I believe we can’t afford not to invest in Maine and her people. Together, we can build and maintain a sustainable environment that doesn’t sacrifice jobs, and in fact, creates jobs for students like mine who want to stay in Maine and contribute to this great state. Whether the issue is large or small – advocating for more property tax relief or simply getting answers for constituents on how to apply for disability benefits – I’ve found answers and advocated for my constituents. As a legislator, selectperson, historian and teacher, I’ve also been an energetic problem solver, a patient collaborator, a careful listener, and I’ve worked with people from all walks of life.
